A summer dream come true in South Africa. A team that are friends collaborated and worked their magic to make this beautiful shoot a reality.
We wanted to keep the canvas clean and white. And the location was perfect for this. Cindy from The Bloom Room worked her magic on the floral design to add elements of soft pinks and olive greens. The garments from Arwen noted small embellishments here and there but were otherwise fresh and gorgeously feminine. A gorgeous 4 tier cake that the talented ladies at Magnolia Bake and Cake created for us crowned off the details of our shoot.
I wanted to bring back warm summer days, the smell of peonies and long evenings spent outside. We were inspired by a table setting of a well known German wedding phototgapher couple who got married in New Zealand last year. Soft pinks, white, olive greens and beiges. Cindy form The Bloom Room immediately connected the idea with shooting at White Light, a new venue in Lanseria which ties in beautifully with the clean lines and minimalism we were looking for. A space that in its simplicity was still beautifull decorated and which had many interesting areas inside as well as out. A clean pallette to which we could add our subtle splashes of colour. The main décor element we used were without doubt the creative use of flowers. The bouquet with an Empire Protea as it’s main focus, a gorgeous headpiece and the floral table runner along with the garments were the focal point of our look.
This look is definitely a summer wedding inspired look for a contemporary couple who is looking for a minimalistic, clean approach but who still wants to add soft details that compliment but don’t overpower.
